Project Overview
A tree struck the left side of the home causing damage to the porch as well as to the main roof and siding on the left elevation of the home. We helped the customer identify damage to all portions of the roof from the storm as well as on all walls of siding as well.
Though the left side of the porch was the only side collapse we had an engineer come in and stated that the entire porch needed to be replaced due to the existing sections of the porch no longer being up to local codes. This project was initially estimated by the insurance company for 63k but Mars was able to work with the homeowner to bring the overall claim value to 145k in order to properly indemnify the homeowner. We completely rebuilt the entire porch from the foundation up. We installed upgraded rails, post and flooring on the porch. We installed a lifetime IKO Dynasty shingle on the roof and Lifetime Mastic Quest insulated siding on the walls. We finished the job with new seamless gutters and gutter protection systems.
